The Ifugao Rice Terraces Leadership Expedition is a two-day journey that talks about the lost leadership art of the Filipinos 2,000 years ago.
This expedition is based on the cultural archeological work that was published in a book, Stepback Leadership: The 2,000-year-old Secrets To Productivity Of The Ifugao Rice Terraces In The Philippines (Scroll, 2018).
This transformational program is designed for you to acquire the millennia-old leadership wisdom that may solve the modern challenges of leading and managing people even in our own time.
Definition of Stepback Leadership
The educational component of this expedition will focus on how you can enhance your leadership impact. You will learn how trust, collaboration, humanity, and deep sense of community can help you build a more lasting organization. The practical component consists of exploring the various aspects of Ifugao culture and its 2,000-year-old practices and community.
Through uniquely crafted activities such as irrigation-building, terraces-making and rice planting, you will relive moments of ancient leadership, achieve a better understanding of your leadership role, and improve your leadership performance through trust, collaboration, and humanity.
Stepback™ is primarily for Filipino and expat leaders from C-level down to the front-liners. Millennial leaders can also benefit from this program.
The program will officially start at 9:00am. Delegates are expected to travel at 8:00am from Manila to Ifugao a day before the expedition date.
The program finishes at 5:00pm on the second day.
Ensure that you book your flights with enough time to reach Manila or Clark Airport from Ifugao without having to leave the program before it closes. Otherwise, you will miss out on the final session including the ring ceremony.

Experience dwelling on Ifugao native house for two nights and two days. A shared accommodation is good for four persons. Our tiled bathrooms are equipped with hot-and-cold water.
